Your Role
As a Livestock Hand, you will support the day-to-day management and welfare of cattle across the feedlot. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you’ll work closely with experienced stock teams to monitor animal health, assist with cattle movements, and maintain safe, clean yards. Your contribution will be vital to animal welfare outcomes and overall feedlot performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Daily monitoring of cattle across feedlot pens
- Riding pens and identifying animals requiring attention
- Assisting with drafting, processing, and cattle movements
- Supporting animal health programs under direction of senior staff
- Maintaining clean, safe yards and facilities
- Operating plant and equipment as required (training provided)
- Following all biosecurity and safety procedures
- Working collaboratively with the livestock and operations teams
